Updated Nintendo - bootstrap(?) issue

Hey guys!
A year ago, i did 3ds.hacks.guide/insta lling-boot9stra p-(brows er) on my nintendo. But i've lost my sd and haven't used my nintendo for a while.
Some days ago my sister went back to my nintendo, which worked at first(!) but i guess she updated it to 11.08 -something. So 'failed to apply 1 firm patch(es)' showed up.
I haven't got my SD card so basically i can't just replace the bootstrap.firm(?) file with a new one tho. I've got other sd card if needed btw.
Could you help me ;w;?

I was following the guide on 3ds.hacks.guide and it talks about" system update and deleting all CIAS steps".My question is:there are data loss during the process or not?I've a Nand backup so is ok but I would know if doing it I'll loss something or is all the same.
Is the system update required to follow the guide?Because I don't want upgrade to 11.8 firmware

Luma nightlies are back! :) :)
The build for the latest commit can be obtained from https://github.com/Pirater12/luma-nightlies/releases. The luma repo is checked for new commits once every 24 hours at 3:00pm JST which is 6:00am GMT.

Technical details:-
I have a php script on a raspi which checks the luma repo for new commits. It compares the latest commit's sha with the sha which is in sha.txt and if the sha do not match, it triggers a travis rebuild and stores the new...

safe to apply latest updated from Nintendo?

I have a 3DS that is on 11.3.0 and just installed the latest luma. My 3DS is constantly nagging me to update to the latest firmware. Is it safe to apply this update? If so can I just let it update normally from Nintendo? And is there a reason for me not to update?

I know a thing or two about the switch and other console mods but with the 3DS I am officially the personification of NOOB.

2DS is not functioning properly.

It charges properly.
Nothing happens when I press the power button.
The only way I can get any screen activity is by pressing the power and select buttons, even still, all that does is turn the back light on. As soon as I let go of select it shuts down. (That's without the SD card) When the SD card is inserted, I still have to press and hold the Power and Select buttons in order to boot, but when I let go of the select button it stays on, and the blue LED, indicates that it's in sleep mode....

2DS is not functioning properly.

hey guys. I modded my new 3ds xl about 2 years ago, i was on 11.3 i belive. i used soundhax. so right now im in a pickle, i want to install cias but i dont currently have FBI injected into health and safety... When i hold the select button while turning on itll boot into LUMA 3ds v6.6 config. this is the only trace of cfw. please help

Black screen when boot, safebs9installer not loading

I have been having issues with my 3ds. I updated my hacked 3ds to 11.8 not so long ago, and no immediate issues arose.
It wasn't until recently when there only appears a black screen when I turn on my 3ds. When I try without an sd card, it gives me the error message, "failed to apply 1 firm patch".

So then I tried looking online for similar problems from others, and I assumed it was probably because I needed to update my Luma and to update to safebs9installer.
and so I followed the guide...

Is there a list of games that benefit the most from enabling the cpuclock on the n3ds, this is of course for games that were released before the n3ds came out and thus don't by default utilize it at all.

I tried with two different games and both needed system update.One time updating wasn't required but now seems to be the only way.
There are still some homebrew as free multi multipatcher,ctr-httpwn or the same luma that can do that?

What change between 11.6 and 11.8?N can now detect if you use freeshop and so on...but can preinstalled .cia files or homebrew apps be dangerous?

Got a 3DS with very old Firmware.

I was basically handed a 3DS with a very old firmware, 4.4.0-10U, and bought it for $20US. Which leaves me with a big set of questions, before I pick a custom/homebrew firmware set.

I want to softmod this system to give it the best flexibility. Many of my old systems are dead, or long gone from NES-DSi. Although I have my backups. So I want to get the most utility out of this system as is possible.

So my questions are really, which firmware to put on this new 3DS and how to do it?

NTR Boot Hack Help

Hello, I was wondering if anybody could help me with the NTR hack for the og 2ds. I've flashed my r4 card and I've got all the files on my sd card. But when I try to do the button combo to put it into b9s it just doesnt load. It stays in sleep mode. Can anybody help?

All apps and games gone after accessing eshop

Hi i have an old 3ds xl on 11.8 firmware with luma 9.1 b9s etc
I wanted to get youtube and i started eshop everything went normaly until i hit redownload and complete download now
After a few seconds i get an 007-7392 error code and it didn't ler mw youtube or or get the sleep mode download.
I closes eshop and everyrhing was gone ezcept the gameyob dsiware app
I opened system settings data management it says that the data management is corrupt and needs to be reset
When i open eshop it...

Reinstalling CFW

Ok, so my little brother decided to delete my CFW. I know this sounds odd, but I really want my CFW back. Is there any way aside from soldering that I can get my N3DS back to how it was?


Also all file for the CFW are still on it aside from the ones godmode9 might have deleted.

Firmware version is 11.8

Hello everyone,
Im about to get a new 3ds today.
I don't know the firm I will get but let's pretend It'll be 1,8,0 so the newest one.
So as far as ive read on 3ds.hacks.guide there is the seed miner method which requires a DSI ware game.

So after installing Coldboot on my Wii U which required to download a Virtual console game from the Eshop I have about 8€left on this account.

So first off my Wii U is not banned whatsoever, so can I safely use this account on my 3ds?

I fried my microSD, stuck on godmode bootloader

greetings. as the title implies, i've fried my microSD while using a faulty reader. now my 3ds is locked on the godmode bootloader and it turns off whether i want to boot into home or use the bootloader file browser. i know that i might be missing a file or two that must be added into the new microSD. but since it was long ago that i modded it i forgot what i'm missing. thank you in beforehand
