FBI can't install .cias

Hello there, I need some help with FBI. I have a friend who can't install any .cia in his 2DS with CFW, latest Luma, and FW 11.8.41U. When he tries to install something, it just shows as an archive, not as a .cia. The only options that appear are Delete, Rename, Copy and Paste. We have tried with redownloading the .cia, using the .3dsx and still nothing.

We hope you guys can help us.

Help finding r4 kernel

I made the dumb mistake of deleting _dsmenu.dat while getting rid of some unused roms and now i can't find it anywhere after about 5 hours of intense googling
i gave up if anyone can find the kernel for this card (i think it was wood) i'd be extremely grateful there is a picture of the card attached i'm pretty sure is a clone the icon is deep labyrinth ATLUS usa

I have a N2DS XL with luma3ds 9.1 and fastboot3ds and i am thinking of buying a gateway3ds. How do I use the gateway with Luma? I am on firmware version 11.7.0-40E.

o3ds won't boot after installing b9s w/soundhax

OK so I dug up my o3ds and decided to update the thing to b9s, I was using the old spider method before.

It is on 4.4 and I followed plailects guide on using soundhax, downloaded all the right files and got in to safeb9sinstaller.
It went through all the checks then the button prompt came up, after that it said it had installed b9s sucessfully and that it would reboot.

But it didn't reboot, it just turned off. Now whenever I turn it on the blue led comes on for like 2 seconds then off...

Tomodachi life ( Korean ) crash when i touch "Push to start" Button

Hi, i got a strange bug, with the korean version of Tomodachi life, i loaded the game and everything works, and when i touch to the "Push start to play" button i got an error message on the bottom screen, is really strange cause i never got this problems with other Korean games (Like Mario kart 7), or japanese games.

Console version : PAL
CFW : Luma3DS
3DS version: 11.8

( sorry for my bad english ^^" )

How do I make system DSiWare appear in the Home Menu?

I've dumped all the system DSiWare (and Flipnote & the DSi Browser which came preinstalled) from my DSi and converted them to CIA.
After installing them, as excepted, they don't appear on the home menu (except for Flipnote & the browser), however, searching online I've found a CIA of the DSi Pictochat which does appear in the home menu after installing. How is that done?

Hello, i got a huge problem to my SD card and i lost everything, ( need to formating the 3DS for using it )
but GodMod9 is still here, My sd card have nothing ( Only "Nintendo3DS" file )
is Luma3DS still here ? or only GM9 ?
How can i do for re-install everything ? ( or remove GM9 )

( If someone speak frnech tell me in PM for helping me :/ )

what is the real differences with a rom that been decrypted? is there a quality loss or some files removed after a rom or cia gets decrypted? kinda curious since i notice a huge size difference once its decrypted..

Can't play nedwill soundhax on 10.2

Hi everyone, I just got my hands on a 3ds with a 10.2.0-0E firmware and tried to use the soundhax hack to install homebrew channel.

I managed to do the whole hack on my cousin's 3ds (which was a 9.2.0-0 which is now a Sys11.4 which runs Cia games perfectly)
But for unknown reason I can't seem to read nedwill sound file on mine and always get a "couldn't play" message...
Hopefully someone can help me bc I'm lost now. I tried and retried for hours now.....

I check the eShop and the games i downloaded from FS arent able to be bought and have a "To Redownload Screen" button.

Should I click it or is that a hard no?

So here’s the rundown:

I’ve had Luma CFW installed on my 3DS for a couple months and I have 11.7 CFW. I’ve heard that 11.8 will effectively brick your system if you update to it, but here’s my whole thing.
I have zero interest in online games and I don’t even download my games via freeshop; I install all my games, updates, and DLCs using .cia files and FBI. All the games I play are single player and honestly the BIGGEST reason I even installed CFW in the first place was to use VC injections...

Should I update to 11.8?

Well it seems I've messed up quite a bit. I have a new 3ds that was running Luma 7.0.5 on ctrnand. It never got updated from A9LH to B9S. I was out of the hacking loop for a while and haven't been using the 3ds since I got the switch.

Today by mistake I upgraded it to 11.8 and I am getting the error "Failed to apply 1 FIRM patch" on every boot.

Now the big issue is I can't open the Luma chain loader while pressing start because it is defaulting to the ctrnand payload folder instead of the...

I think I just bricked my 3DS. Any suggestions?

I have a problem with the 2.0 Plugins on my old 3ds my NTR plugin structure is also root/Plugin/GameNumberOrdner/Txt datei of gameNumber

I dont coming in the NTR 2.0 menü and the 1.0 Plugins doesnt work ingame with Cheat Menü i click in the Game X and Y no cheat menü before a have started NTR selector


I have a OLD 3ds B9S FW 11.8. Luma 9.1

Have anyone experienced enough here actually tried to analyze them for any passive/quiet malwares or sniffers, maybe inside of the firmware/hardware/ICs???
I'm seriously surprised nobody cares to actually check them out for potential threats. And i can't find any projects on github that would try to document the hardware/firmware throughly.
If i was good at electrical engineering or firmware-reversing, i would definitely create at least a short documentation for 3ds community to know what...

Are R4 flashcarts for 3ds secure???

A bit desperate: Lost all CFW icons in Home and can't install anything

So, I got my New 2DS a week ago or so. I installed CFW using the Seedminer method following the 3ds.hacks.guide guide, of course, and it's been working perfectly until yesterday.

I pulled out the SD Card to paste in a couple games (didn't touch anything else, I only pasted the games inside my cias folder, where I put all the cias), and when I reinsterted the SD back to the console and turned it on, all my games and CFW stuff was gone.

Some information:
- I can still access the Rosalina...

Ticket.db doesn't exist on my system

I recently wanted to dump my ticket.db file so I can use it to reinstall any games that stop showing up despite being on the mSD, like what happens when you do a CTRtransfer.
But Decrypt9WIP fails to find the file, and using gm9 I went to the ticket location on my ctrnand and twln partitions, but both of them are empty with no ticket.db whatsoever, I also can't get my titlekeys file either.

I've obviously got tickets installed because I transfered everything from my n3ds using the default...

Ticket.db doesn't exist on my system

I have questions about the flashcart I bought (R4i 3DS Gold Plus)

So, I bought this card without doing much research and took most of the advice from someone on Discord. It shipped today and I forgot that flashcarts go into the game slot so I have to get a second microSD tomorrow. Anyways, I'm kinda confused on what I can do with it. My main questions are:
  • Can I install and play 3DS titles in ntrboot mode? (via .cia files in FBI)
  • Can I run .nds files from my system microSD?
  • How bad is the battery drain, if any?
Basically, can I do...
