Updating 3DS firm from 11.8 with Luma 9.1

Hi. My Old 3DS started showing me a message to update after every cold boot. Ok, its been a while since i've been thinking in doing that.

Old 3DS still on sys firmware 11.8.0-41U, and Luma3DS is on 9.1.
I know the OFW is already on 11.10, and Luma also received a new update. So, is it safe to update both?

Can i just manually replace the boot.firm file on my SD to get the new Luma version, and then hit Update?
I installed CFW on my 3DS on 11.7 using seedminer (DSiWare...

TWLSaveTool save dump issues

Hello guys, I tried to extract a save file from my friend's real Soul Silver cartridge because I wanted to backup his pokemons and, also, because he started a new game (so I can't dump anymore that save file).
I did the same steps for his game and for Magical Starsing, and I only managed to rip the last game's save file (strangely)
When I start this save on my emulator (and TWLmenu), it treats as I'm starting a new game.
If I open it on PkHEx, it says "Attemped to load an unsupported file...

Hey guys, today i had this error happen to me whenever i ran FBI or homebrew apps or anything of the like:

An exception occured

Processor : ARM11 (core 0)
Exception type : data abort
fault status : Translation - section

It showed up within seconds of opening any process, and i searched a lot for a fix almost everywhere on gbatemp and other websites, even formatted my sd card and checked it and everything.
But the only thing that worked for me was to remove any plugins i had installed...

Best way to ftp with the new 3ds on windows 10

I know we can't use the micro sd management ftp service on windows 10 due to smb 1.0 being disabled. however, enabling it causes a problem with qcma as I discovered a while back. anyway, I have ftp super turbo 2 installed (had ftp snap! before that), but no matter what, ftp seems sluggish. there have been a few times where ftp would get stuck, then it had to restart the file transfer. is this normal? does anyone have a suggestion on how to improve speeds/reliability? thanks.

I know you can install CIAs on the 3DS with FBI, but I don’t think DSiWare use the CIA format. How do I install these games and apps on my home screen?

3ds boot fail

So I currently own a 2ds and a 3ds. Installed cfw such as Luma, b9s, and godmode9 on the 3ds, but then decided that I would use the 2ds more so I system transferred data from the 3ds to the 2ds. Everything is fine for the 2ds, but now my 3ds won't boot up unless I use the sd card that has the cfw on it. Any help on how to fix it?

My 3DS has been softbricked since 2016. Today me and a friend decided to attempt to unbrick it using the method found on 3ds hacks guide (I cannot post a link as this forum forbids me because I don't have over 5 posts)

However, at the Luma 3DS part (Section IV, Step 8) when I press (Start) to save and reboot, it stays on a black screen. If I delete the config.bin file in the Luma folder on the SD Card then the 3ds boots into the Luma Configuration menu again. I am clueless as to how to fix...

Need help with unbricking my old 3DS using the magnet method.

Error installing Forwarder CIA

Hi guys, recently I have been trying to install an NDS forwarder cia on my 3DS but I keep getting the error code "0xD8808038" with the Summary "Not found (4)".
In addition, I have installed multiple NDS forwarder cias on my 3DS but this is the only one that gives me this error. I have searched far and wide for a fix for this, but no one else seems to have my problem. Any ideas?

n3DS XL doesn't turn on (no blue light)

The New 3DS XL of a friend doesn't start anymore. there's also no blue light.

He was playing on his (with Luma 9.1) and it shut down for no reason. Battery isn't the problem (tried swapping it with a working 3DS battery)
It's the same with or without the SD card. Is this a sudden hardware problem? Thanks

Ok, so i woke up, and checked my New 2DS.

Ok, so if you haven't caught on, my health and safety app literally metamorphisized into a Nintendo zone app.
I didn't even know this was possible. I don't even know what i did, if anything i would have done would have affected the H&S app.​

Hi everybody,

Last day I decided to completely clean my n3ds. I followed the guide to completely remove the cfw. Then I followed the guide with the seedminer and steel diver hax. However, at the stage of the Japanse Flipnote I received a error: ‘a9hl was found, prevented a brick’. So what to do now? I already formated my sd card with the old cfw files. Thanks in advance!

ntr cfw and luma 9.1

I tried this after finding out that ntr cfw didn't work with the latest luma. I chain loaded 9.1, then tried ntr cfw. the problem is that it crashes a lot, just like it did on the latest luma. my b9s is up to date btw. I named that payload something like lumav.9.1.firm. however, I can't get it to work properly? could a . in the file name (not extension) cause any sort of problem? should I have left it as boot.firm? I have a few things on my sd card that might be causing a problem too...

Hi all - I'm new to the community

I have an R4i 3DS Gold Plus on its way to me and I'm very excited to CFW my 2DS XL.

However upon doing research there was a ban wave in May/June of loads of CFW devices? My question is: Are Nintendo still banning people as of late and what steps can I take to prevent being banned?

Hello all,

Little bit of background on my n3DS:
I'm working on a recently purchased one from a secondhand shop, so the history of it before I got it is unknown. I have no idea if this had already been hacked as it was reformatted when I received it.
The n3DS Version is 11.9.0-42E
I just want to hack my n3DS so I can get a recording program on there to record some gameplay/stream it.
