What happens when I factory reset my old 3DS

I'm actually on 11.2 and I want to factory reset my old 3DS. My question is: After the reset will be there the same Firmware version as before?

I am trying to redownload FBI through homebrew inject, i keep getting the same error code for anything i try to install

Failed to install CIA file.
Result code: 0xC92044FA
Level: Status (25)
Summary : Canceled (9)
Module: FS (17)
Desc: FAT operation denied (250)

I have a new 3DS, on Sys 11.6, newest godmode9 and luma.

I have more details on my previous post, but responses slowed down drastically. Thought to refresh the post, any help is appreciated

I am trying to figure out this issue. I have attempted to redownload the boot.firm, formatted the SD card (SDXC), and flashing back to a previous NAND to no avail. The only progress I've made is determining that when the SD card is in the system, the home menu will not even boot and it goes straight to the error you see below, but if I take the card out, it gets to the home menu before crashing. I am at a loss. Has anyone experienced this issue, and if so, did you solve it and how?

Removing B9S after CTRTransfer

I was messing around on my o3ds today, and wondered if I could install arm9loaderhax on it. I first CTRTransfered from 11.5 to 9.2, and it worked fine. Then I went to go uninstall B9S. That went all fine and dandy, but when I rebooted the console, it brings me to a black screen.
Later I went to go use a different 3ds to CTRTransfer from 11.6 to 11.5, for testing purposes. I then uninstalled B9S, and wanted to see if it had the same results, and it did.

Rosalina menu won't launch.

So I just factory reset a 3DS that I bought yesterday from a friend, after reading that I can do it if I have Luma 3ds, Godmod and everything else. I factory reseted it and now I can't access Rosalina Menu.
I'm doing the combo the right way, left bumper, down and select, but nothing happens. My 3DS updated to the 11.6, my Luma version is 7.1 and my Godmod9 is 1.6.1. I don't have a flashcard or a friend with another 3DS, so I hope i don't need to do everything from the scratch.

so looking at nds-card's website, it gives me choices of how to ship it. i assume others use the standard HK air mail and still recieved it in the US? or is the express mail the only one to get it stateside?

Seedminor_Launcher trouble

Ok. So I've been following a tutorial on how to get SeedMinor to install Boot9Strap. I've got my movable_part.sed file and I'm on to the next step. The problem now is that whenever I try and open the Seedminor_Launcher, it asks for me to press any key and then closes. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this so I can generate the files needed for the next steps?

NTRboot apparently successfully installs using ds lite on my r4i, but doesn't work

Okay so the flashcard I have is a fake one (I've had this for a LONG time), from r4i-factory.com. It's called R4i 3DS on the card.

So I used my DS lite and this flashcard to boot into the ntrboot installer (nds file), then it said 'installation failed' for all the flashcard options except the R4i Gold one, it installed NTR boot apparently successfully. Now when I try to use to do the magnet thingy to boot into ntrhax, it simply doesn't work.

Hi everybody, first at, sorry for my english, but i need to understand some things.
How the heck install Luma3DS? Its so chaotic o.O I have a o3DS on FW 4.5.0 because GateWay flashcard, how can i use Luma3DS? I need to delete GW emuNAND?
I dont want to change anything on my 3ds, but i saw that luma is required for CTRPF-AR cheat plugin and for MH XX english translation .__. doesn't exist another way? lol
i only got that Luma require a DS flashcard to be installed, but i have only GW blue...

Hi gbatemp.

I have just succeeded in installing CFW (Homebrew) on my 3DS by using my R4 SDHC Dual-Core RTS 2016 card.
I used the guide on 3ds.hacks.guide and after i was done with the guide i was proceeding to restore my flash cart, so i tried to insert R4iSDHC Dual-Core 20XX from the list to my Device SD card inside the ntrboot folder and then i started my 3DS and go into ntrboot_flasher and restore my flashcart, but the problem is... I can't use it..

I'm sharing with you a little mod of the BootNTR which will allows you to choose the version of NTR you want to load.

You have the choice between the version 3.2, 3.3, 3.6.

Nothing awesome but it can be useful to easily switch NTR's versions.

quick edit: its the main one that has error. mode 3 installed fine.


I updated from a9 to b9s

figured its been ages since updated my stuff (was still on 11.4 as been awhile since played my ds) so i uninstalled my old boot ntr and tried to use fbi to install newest cia.

Hi GBATemp!

I have a N3DS with B9S, and very outdated homebrew/cia such as FBI, Luma Updater, ...
I'm going to update all these, no worries, the problem I have is the following:

Before, it was only possible to unban a N3DS with swapping LocalFriendCodeSeed_B from an unbanned 3DS, inject an empty nnidsave.bin and modify by HEX editing the Secureinfo_A file with decrypt9WIP.

But as for now, my N3DS run at the lastest version, so Decrypt9WIP don't work on it anymore.

Luma 3ds error

hi I haven't been using my o3ds for a long time and there's an update to 11.6 i think but when I went to luma3ds it says this
"Could not get status code
Ret code: -660561850

FATAL ERROR
Failed to obtain required data.
Press Start to exit."

I don't know what to do and wifi is on too. I'm not system updating it now since I think there's a problem with luma3ds. Pls help me my luma3ds ver is 8.1.1

Godmode 9 not launching

I had Luma for about 6 months now. I updated to sighax and everything was fine but today I decided to update to Bootstrap 1.2 I was following the steps on https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s.html and everything was going well till it told me to launch godmode9 to update the bootstrap but when I turned on my 3ds it just launches the home menu. It worked fine before.

my 3ds (old 3ds) starts up on a black screen for some reason... i do not know why, i am running the latest bs9 and luma3ds (after updating them like 2 days ago) and just a few minutes ago i turned my 3ds on and just a black screen... its not a svcbreak error as i tried that to see if it was the problem...help please :(
