something messed up when I was downloading emulator

so I just finished getting CFW on my 3ds. I decided it would be nice to have an emulator. so I got mgba cia and I think I might have broken something when I tried to make a folder for rom. now I don't have the theme and I now have presents that have no text and open a black icon. when I try to open it it gives an error

3DS don't read applications from SD Card

I have o3DS with Luma 9.1 and SysNAND. I turned on 3DS and my games and programs installed on the SD card don't appear. Custom theme is also not displayed. I can watch my photos from SD card on the console. The SD card works on a PC. I formatted my SD card and copied files from backup on PC but it didn't do anything. I don't know what's going on.

I have a big problem with my 3DS, i left it aside about a mouth, too busy to play and etc, after i power on it again the start button simply does not work in 3DS games, it works in FBI and the SNES emulator, but in the 3DS games just do not respond, someone have any solution, maybe restore factory NAND?

Let's cut the shit: here are my DSiWare Conversion scripts. This allows you to copy DSiWare to your SD card from your DSi, and then convert them to a .NDS file (these files cannot run from a flashcart, don't ask!) for asset dumping, analysing, etc, or a .CIA file for installation on a 3DS!

The problem cropped up a few days ago.
I was attempting to restore an old boot.firm.bak from February (when I installed the latest Luma available at the time)
This is because my ds just wouldn't boot after it told me it needed to re-format my SD card as it was corrupted.
Now, I just get a black screen and the power LED comes on, and the only way I can boot is in safe mode, which erves no purpose as I can't connect, but that may be due to bad weather. I'm retrying a safe mode update to fix my...

Can the a European 3DS play American 3DS games if it's running Luma3DS?

So I have a 3DS (European) that runs Luma3DS. I wanted to get all 3 Regions of a game to run on my 3DS so I downloaded a few ROMs. I have the European game on a cartridge so that's no issue, I downloaded the Japanese version and installed it. Besides the banner (The thing that shows on the top screen when you hover over it) it worked fine. So I downloaded the North American version and installed it. Firstly I noticed that the banner was identical to the European version, which it shouldn't...

Hiya,

I'm having some issues getting the Soundhax file to run on my OLD 3DS running 7.1.0-4E firmware and wondered if someone could help please.

I followed the instructions found here:

But upon launching the M4A file using the built in music app, I get an error saying the software has force closed and the system reboots without launching me into the homebrew launcher.

Hello guys,
i am new to this forum and i need help. I had a N3DS with 11.3 FW and i successfull installed cfw from 3ds hack guide.
Yesterday i wanted to add some new roms to my Sd card, after i insterted it to the 3ds, luma3ds opened while booting and i just clicked start
in the 3ds menu everything is gone, including Homebrew launcher! I also cant start godmode anymoe , but luma3ds is avaiable.
do i still have the cfw? how can i reinstall HL? or is my sd card corrupted? it was a cheap...

Very old 3DS firmware versions and Luma

Because of this post in the 3DS NOOB PARADISE I did some tests with old firmware versions and Luma. As @PoiRan I ran into a “bricked” state (black screens) with firmware 4.5.0-10E when trying to boot the console with latest Luma – while no problems with v9.1.

The hax are still there of course, but is there anything specific I need to do? Or can I just copy-paste the usual CFW apps and be done with it?

Luma3DS - An exception occurred (ARM11)

I was playing Mario Kart 7 online earlier today and after a while I got this error:

An exception occurred
Processor: arm11 <core 0>
Exception type: prefetch abort
Fault status: translation - section
Current process: MarioKar (title ID)

The same error happened when I tried to play local multiplayer with friends on Pokémon Moon after issuing PKSM. I’m not sure if the Luma plugin loader was enabled or not.

How can I fix this?

Best microSD card for CFW.

So if you read my previous threads you know that my microSD card died on me. I used a Sandisk Ultra 64gb XC UH-1 class 10. While I know that backing up all things you use on CFW is a necessary precaution i would like to avoid an SD card randomly dying in the future, so what MicroSD card would you suggest? I'm looking for a 128-256gb card.

Let me start off by saying that I have searched threads and I only managed to find one instance of my issue and it went unanswered. So like many, I haven't touched my 3ds in forever and go apply a system update. Then I get the failed to apply firm patch and google that. Everyone says update Luma3ds boot.firm so alright go and plug my SD into my pc and my pc starts screaming at me to format the thing. I have tried many different media card readers and even some different pc's... no dice, it's...

Hi all - I'm new to the community

I have an R4i 3DS Gold Plus on its way to me and I'm very excited to CFW my 2DS XL.

However upon doing research there was a ban wave in May/June of loads of CFW devices? My question is: Are Nintendo still banning people as of late and what steps can I take to prevent being banned?

Hello fellas, how's yall doing?

I have two SD cards that were misplaced. I was using a brand new 128gb Samsung SD for my R4i, and my 16gb old Sandisk SD for the 3DS. Which doesnt make sense, as i'd be better off using the extra space on the 3DS and not the cart.

Anyways, i decided to swap them. What i did was i copied both content from both cards to my computer, then i ran GM9 on both carts and formatted them on the 3DS as FAT-32 following a guide i found here (Launching GM, then choosing...

Swapped cards and now everything is twice as slow.

So yeah, I found my old Gateway blue card, and it's my understanding that I could possibly flash this with firmware to enable it to jailbreak basically any 3DS system as I please.

So, with that in mind, I wanted to at least see if it works, but where I am at presently is simply... had to find the old Ace3DS loader software, since I didn't have a copy of the old GW blue card files on hand. Just wanted to be sure it still worked, and all. but as I pop it into my DSi, I find that it just...

Hey guys, today i had this error happen to me whenever i ran FBI or homebrew apps or anything of the like:

An exception occured

Processor : ARM11 (core 0)
Exception type : data abort
fault status : Translation - section

It showed up within seconds of opening any process, and i searched a lot for a fix almost everywhere on gbatemp and other websites, even formatted my sd card and checked it and everything.
But the only thing that worked for me was to remove any plugins i had installed...
