"Error writing configuration file" when configuring Luma 3DS settings

NEVER MIND! Got it to work everyone! SD card was not writable. Now it is.

Hi all,

I'm updating my B9S on my 3DS (was previously on version EMU 11.4 and LUMA 8). I'm on this step where I turn on my 3DS into LUMA 9.1 and enable "Show NAND or user string in System Settings."

After pressing start and enabling that setting, it shows up an error as follows:

"An error has occurred:

Error writing the configuration file"

What can I do to fix this?

How to migrate to bigger SD card?

My 32 GB card was full, so I bought a new 64GB card, thinking I could just clone the smaller one into the new. I did that, but there are no titles in menu except homebrew ones. Surprisingly, I didn’t find info how to migrate to a bigger card on GBATemp (only for Switch).

Can you help? O3DSXL with latest Luma3D. Thanks!

R4 without ban risk?

Hi everyone,
I've barely used my account, so I guess you can say I'm new to it.

The thing is I have a lot of DS games in a R4 flashcart I use with my DS Lite, exactly this one (see attached file).

I recently bough a New 2DS XL and I know that hacking the console can get you banned (supposedly only if you do weird stuff like using hacks online or playing games before release, but still, it is not asured that you will not get banned... right?).
I tried the flashcart in an old 3DS and works...

R4 without ban risk?

Does Sky3ds+ work with Action Replay? If not is there a way to load cheat codes in games?

Installing cia file in english.

Hey. I have a quick question about trying to install a cia file in english. I have a japanese N3DS which I installed cfw on and installed an alpha sapphire USA region cia (at least it has USA in the file name) and it booted up fine in japanese as expected.
I then changed the region of the 3ds to united states to be able to have the english system menu.

I have uninstalled the game via the FBI option "delete title and ticket" and tried to reinstall it multiple times, but every time it...

new 2DS XL encounters error when installing boot9strap using Fredtool (Frogminer)

So i was following the guide to install CFW and i get to the part where it tells me to go to sd card in DSIware system management. everytime i select SD card it tells me it encountered an error and the system restarts. I followed the guide exactly and the only thing that's different from the guide is that the microSD card im using is 64KB instead of 32KB like it said because my MicroSD card is 128GB. please help.

Hi guys

I have a New 3DS
Luma CFW (I don't remember which version) with B9S
System Version 11.5.0-38U

Questions:

1) Can I update the console directly to latest firmware (11.10.0)? Or do I need to do something before?
2) My Luma CFW is probably outdated. I don't quite remember how to update it manually, does the homebrew Luma Updater still work?
3) I know Freeshop does not work anymore. However, is still safe playing online?
4) Is there any new feature/stuff/homebrew in the scene?

Don't know if this is in the wrong board but I'd like to know if you can somehow block the little notification that tells you to update the game. Reason being that I got a CIA that has a wrong version number and now asks for a non-existent update. (Project Mirai).

Hello! I have recently installed Luma3ds on my old 2DS. I installed Sharkive to supply me with the cheats. Some of the cheats I have installed work, while other just simply crash my 2DS. May somebody help me stop these crashes? Thanks in advance!

Hi, there’s conflicting info on whether it’s possible to update pirated CIAs via Nintendo eShop. It has never worked for me (downloaded successfully but never actually applied).

Is there a good source for update CIAs? Sites like 3DSCias.com have some but not all. Thanks!

Gateway and downgrading

Hi

i would like to downgrade my 11.9 luma cfw+bootstrap to an older firm to get my gateway working to convert my older saves, what are the step to do so ?

i want to keep my stuff while downgrading is it possible or do i have to backup everything ?
should i use a 11.X nand image from the 3DS guide or a 4.X old one that i already have ? also if i recall correctly its easier to install gateway on 4.X than on higher firm

safest way to downgrade ? read that sysupdater wasn't that safe but...

I know that, in EU, users are allowed to modify their system as long as they don't use copyrighted material. However, I can't find thay law.

I just recently updated the CFW and luma on my N3DSXL. Everything went great, but I ran into a weird problem.

My Mii plaza needed an update but I was getting an error code when I would try to update through the home menu. I downloaded the 5.0 update CIA and a DLC CIA. After installing the 5.0 update Mii Plaza has been completely removed from my home screen. And I have no idea how to get it back.



I tried reinstalling it through the Eshop and that didn't bring it back either. Not sure what...

movable.sed error between 288b and 320b

hello, i'm trying to copy my movable.sed to another console so that console can use the same SD as my 3DS
but I have a problem, related to this file

the file i'm trying to copy is a 320 bytes file
but if I try to inject it with Decrypt9, first it shows the file size and then gives an error
41077577_316553235767931_4614787568930652160_n. 41210508_2055083094805825_5234186702725054464_n.

using GodMode9, if I manually go to nand/private, I can see that the file size is 288 bytes (it says 288 bytes on Decrypy9 too)

so if I manually copy the...

i installed 11.5j on my 11.9 2ds

Earlier this year for some reason I installed 11.5J firmware on my then 11.9E 2DS. After that I tried installing both 11.5E and 11.5U but it gave an error and only the J firmware works. Is there any way to revert back to 11.9E or at least to 11.5E. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I just bought this flashcart so I can flash ntrboot on my new n3ds, but I read that you can lose the flashcart feature if you don't do a backup and then restore it, but I don't know how to do it. The ak2i_ntrcardhax_flasher does it while flashing the ntrboot? Or I need to do something before? And how do I restore the backup?
I'm sorry, I'm a noob in all of this.

[Q] GBA cia on emunand not rendering screen correctly

So recently I've been dabbling in gba games converted to 3ds format in the form of a cia file. So they all install correctly and run, but the problem is that they don't display correctly. The top of the screen is cropped off and then displays on the bottom of the screen, so it makes it a bit difficult to play. This happens in some games more then others, and I was just wondering if anyone had come across it at all or knows of a fix for it?
