please link to this thread when people (noobs) don't understand something, or think they have a 'great idea' about a 'legit' oot cia, ha.

What is a CIA?
Packed content, that can be installed on your 3ds to give the game/app/content.
A CIA contains the contents, a TMD, and a ticket.
CIA files are only really for eshop/digital content.
Although, some people do like to convert 3ds game card dumps to 'cia'/eshop format, because they want them on their home menu etc....

Hi everyone!
I'm giving away my O3DS and I'd like to transfer the Mii Plaza data to my Jap O3DSXL (I recently changed region to EU).
There are other threads talking about this, but they're mostly from 2014/2015 so I wonder if there's a simpler way to do that now.
Thanks for your help...you might need extra patience with me since I'm fairly new to the 3ds hacking world.

The game is in 1.1.7 and I use a n3ds in 11.8 all region eur but it does not work and I do not know why.
In other games it works without problems.
I feel if my English is bad since I am Spanish speaking.

So recently I've been dabbling in gba games converted to 3ds format in the form of a cia file. So they all install correctly and run, but the problem is that they don't display correctly. The top of the screen is cropped off and then displays on the bottom of the screen, so it makes it a bit difficult to play. This happens in some games more then others, and I was just wondering if anyone had come across it at all or knows of a fix for it?

Hello, I'm new to this forum and I was wondering if anyone can help me out. To sum things up, I used my Ace3ds plus card to install cfw on my friend's N3ds and while loading ntrboot, I forgot to backup my Ace3ds plus. I spent hours looking for a backup only to found this site with some backups: h ttps://goo.gl/mhix6L. I installed one of the 3 given backups for the Ace3ds plus card (the second one thats not credited) successfully and rebooted. My N3ds can now read the card but when I launch...

Say I hack my 3ds with NTRBootHax, then used the backup to restore it for its original purpose, to play games, but my friend wants CFW. If I don't back up the card, and I restore the card from the backup before all the games, what would it effect, and would it delete my games or other stuff?

Is this a safe site to purchase flashcarts?

Hello all.

About a year and a half ago I attempted to install custom firmware on my 3ds but gave up due to some hiccup along the way. I had thought I deleted all the unnecessary files the correct way but I may have made a mis-step along the way.

Hi, I have been following this guide (https://3ds.hacks.guide/installing-boot9strap-(dsiware-game-injection)) to hack my 3DS via system transfer. However, I'm having an issue with it. I got to Section II in the step where I copy the contents of the savedata folder into the FAT image I created. However, whenever I paste it there, it says "Failed to copy path."
Would anyone be able to help me?
EDIT: I just checked my file sizes. Apparently the FAT image is only 11kb free but the...

Can I play DS games loaded on to a R4i 3DS Gold Plus card on my 3DS that's running official firmware 11.80? If so, can someone tell me what loader firmware do I need? I tried a Wood R4 firmware but it wasn't specifically for my version of the R4 and just booted to a blank screen.
