Cubic Ninja fails in every way on my 9.0.0-20U New3DS

Hey guys. I was wondering if anyone could help find a solution to this problem;

I have a new new3DSXL on 9.0.0-20U firmware, and a US copy of cubic ninja (LNA-CTR-AQNE-USA on cart).

I am able to install the ninjahax 2.1 exploit to the cubic ninja cart, and it successfully boots the homebrew launcher which lists the homebrews that I have placed on the SD card.

If I try to launch any homebrew though, the screen just freezes on the homebrew launcher and I have to hold the power button down...
